Rubbing from the Nestorian Monument in China [undated].

The collection consists of one item, a rubbing mounted on a scroll. The rubbing was made from the Nestorian Monument housed in Xi'an, China. This modern artifact represents the historic stele. The scroll has ivory and white silk and a decorative wooden dowel at the bottom. The scroll dimensions are 38 1/4" W x 117 1/2" L (or 3' 2 1/4" W x 9' 9 1/2" L), and the dowel is 41" wide (3' 5") .
